Dr. Farrell earned his medical degree at Charles University School of Medicine in Prague, Czech Republic. He completed his residency at St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland and Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, as well as a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University. Most recently, he practiced in Rhode Island and was an associate professor of medicine in gastroenterology and hepatology at Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University, where he was the recipient of several Dean’s Teaching Awards.

Board certified in Gastroenterology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Dr. Farrell is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Physicians.
