Dr. Rumsey graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at Georgetown Hospital and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Rumsey is board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the Society of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography. She is fluent in Portuguese.
