Hawthorn Medical is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Status as an accredited organization means that Hawthorn Medical has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of high quality health care. We have experienced tremendous growth in our more than 40 years of existence and have constructed a state-of-the-art facility on Faunce Corner Road. About Our Practice

Dr. Clinton Levin, Founder

Hawthorn Medical Associates was founded in 1970 by two local physicians, Dr. Clinton Levin and Dr. Thomas Zipoli. Their vision was to provide a higher level of care for their patients while bringing physician specialists and services to the community that were not available at the time. Within the first year, physicians from outside the area came to this community to join the group, and specialty services, such as a kidney dialysis clinic, were added.

In the more than 40 years that have followed, this medical practice has continued to grow and now includes more than 110 of the area's most respected physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. These providers, who represent 19 medical specialties, are supported by state-of-the-art laboratory and diagnostic imaging services including x-ray, digital mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MRI and CT scan. Patients also have access to Hawthorn Medical's specialty services—Ambulatory Surgery and Endoscopy Center, Diabetes Management Program, Rehabilitation Services and Sleep Center.

Hawthorn Medical has made practice improvements through the use of a computer-based, electronic medical record system. The Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR) organizes all of a patient's medical information in a way that enhances the way providers and staff care for and communicate with patients.
